Who would have thought? Not me! Apparently, trains can be delayed too.
On this day we encountered Track repairs which forced us to sit in a station for about an hour and then there was a slower speed that had to be maintained on the newly laid tracks for a little over an hour. Unfortunately, this pushed our arrival into Chicago back enough to where we encounter commuter traffic all the way into Union Station. All in all we lost about 3 hours. Which feels like an awfully long time when you have already been sitting on the train for 48!
